The Association of Rabbis and Cantors

The Association of Rabbis and Cantors (ARC) is the professional organization for alumni of the Academy for Jewish Religion.

Who Are We?

The ARC is the only joint rabbinical and cantorial professional organization in America. Our members are available for pulpit positions, teaching and administrative opportunities, chaplaincy work and other positions, which require the unique skills that the ARC clergy can offer.

Clergy
Rabbis and cantors who affiliate with the ARC are committed to creating and building holy communities of learning, growth and spirit. Cantors and rabbis in the ARC are graduates of the Academy for Jewish Religion, a pluralistic seminary whose goal it is to train exceptional rabbis and cantors to serve the needs of contemporary Jewish communities. Members of the ARC come from diverse backgrounds and levels of observance. We pride ourselves on our commitment to learning from one another and growing together as the spiritual leaders of the Jewish community of the 21st century.

Placement
The Association of Rabbis and Cantors is committed to helping both affiliated and non-affilitated communities find a spiritual leader best suited for their needs. At the same time, we strive to serve the best interest of our clergy members by offering placement support and other professional services as graduates of the Academy for Jewish Religion enter the world of the rabbinate and cantorate.

Our rabbis and cantors serve in a number of rabbinic and cantorial roles including congregational, pastoral and educational.
